My home away from home!!! My family has been traveling to and camping at the Long Draw Reservoir for over 50 years. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful are just a few words that I can use to describe this place. If you have never been to the Long Draw, put it on your bucket list!! In the evening all along the road from highway 14 to the turnaround at the end of the reservoir, you can see lots of moose, deer, elk, etc.

A nice campground, but RVs with Generators are annoying. The pit toilets were clean/well maintained and the campground host was very nice.

We were very happy with our stay here. Nice camp sites with beautiful scenery. It's pretty far out of the way and at around 10,000ft, so no cell service and the nights get VERY cold. Prepare accordingly. Payments were reasonable and self service. Sites are first come first serve.

There are simple bathrooms placed around too. The one nearest to us was extremely well maintained, we were surprised how nice it smelled. They aren't anything fancy though, so don't expect sinks or showers.

There's also several excellent trailheads nearby and they're much less busy than more popular places, but still just as good.

This is a beautifully wooded, and quit place to stay!! It is about 10100 feet in elevation, clean, and the camp hosts are fantastic and dedicated people. Restrooms are exceptionally clean, and pumped water is available. Being that high in elevation makes it a little chilly at night if one camps in a tent but this can be managed with a good sleeping bag. This area is a must see; the night sky is mind boggling; Long Draw reservoir is amazing for boating and fishing, and the surrounding valleys and mountains are 5 stars all around. This is the Moose capital of the continental United States and seeing them graze is a beautiful experience. Enjoy the stay and the beautiful area!

Great campground, good sized campsites, not even full in July 2023. Wonderful host, good clear water from the pump. We saw a mama and young moose in the meadow near our tent! Along with many many deer. Peaceful.
