Great place quiet and clean. Only thing I noticed was some bathrooms boarded up. Not easy to navigate to bathroom from my particular campsite.
What a good time! The kids burnt there energy and stayed cool in the water. It was clean and the bathroom has a nice shower to rinse off
The campground was ok. Might be perfect for boaters. We stayed in a campsite in section D. Some inconsiderate hothead next to us ran a huge/noisy generator all night. The sites in D weren’t level. The water and electric sites looked much nicer. The bathhouse was clean. They really need an exhaust fan - it was humid as a steam bath in there. The lady at the checkin window was nice and friendly.
Very impressed with this campground. I’ve been camping since I was a child and this is possibly my favorite spot I’ve ever been to.
It’s only around a five minute drive from town, so any unplanned trips to get something doesn’t become a huge ordeal. The entire time we were there we saw zero pieces of trash laying around. The site is huge with a few different camping experiences depending on what you’re looking for. We picked a spot in the pines and it was stunningly pretty. On the opposite side of the pines, is the lake. Which is large and offers pretty views. Worth walking over to at the very least. But very tempting to jump in a canoe for the day once you see it.
The number one best thing is the privacy. Each site is spread apart the most I’ve ever seen at a campsite. It allows for a very relaxing and private experience. Along with that, when you go onto the official recreational website, there’s a photo of every single spot you can check out before booking.
Huge fan and can’t wait to be back.
A neat and clean campground located on a beautiful lake. Did a recon walk with my dog a didn't see one piece of trash. Staying in RV with full bathroom so cannot comment on showers. Electric power clean and stable, had a great stay. Highly recommend.
