Was all alone in this camping area but it was nice. 8 level camp areas with a picnic table and fire pit. 2 vault toilets. Only $3 and there is No CHARGE if you have the america the beautiful pass.
National Forest campground. About 12 or so sites. No facilities except a vault toilet. Good sites; we placed three tents but could easily have placed two more. Nearest city for gas and food is 20 minutes south in Clarksville.
The whole area is absolutely beautiful, as only Arkansas can be 😁 The trail I went on was marked white and was a lovely challenging hike. Not very rigorous but I have not been out hiking in quite a while !! Great experience !!
Quaint little campground. It wasn't until the day I left that I found out that it used to be a CCC Camp. The remains of the camp have been overgrown. Which is a shame. But the national park service has had a lot of financial cutbacks over the years.
Place is nice to rest. But my rest was interrupted by some old bearded guy in a black pickup that would come around in 2 hr intervals and circle the campsite around my truck. Decided to leave when he pulled in past 10pm with his headlights off. Got better rest at the rest stop at the arkansa Alabama border.
