We stayed here last night. Beautiful park. Great park host.
The river is gorgeous.
Make sure you realize the train goes through almost every hour. They blast the horn long and loud.
The crossing gates are right at entrance to camp. We enjoyed our stay
Park is right on the River front. We called for a manager to check us in, he got there about 10-15 minutes later, was super nice and helpful. We backed into a beautiful waterfront site.
The sites were grass and mud, as it had just rained. Road through the park was gravel. We went to sleep around 10:30 and were startled awake by the train, which is right next to the park, blaring its horn…..every hour…..ALL NIGHT LONG.
For that reason I would not return and encourage anyone consider it before going here! My second pic is from the front window, you can see the train, and we were as far across the park as possible.
We had an ok night. There are beautiful sites along the Spring River. To pay we called a phone number on an info board at the entrance. The fee for 50 amp electric, water, and sewer dump was over $50 including tax. In my opinion a fair cost for a night's stay is $25 or $30. Trains operate close by and blow their horns for the adjacent road crossing. Most if not all sites are on grass; I would be concerned after a rain about getting stuck. There is a nice paved path along the river, and new playground equipment nearby.
Great place to camp. Spring river is less then 2 minutes away. Great place to put in to float. Conner is the man to talk to while you're there. He will make sure you're stay is everything you want.
Cute park, walkable to town. The setting was beautiful right on the river. The negative was the bathrooms. I've stayed in lots of parks but this one definitely needs some work and it would be a five-star park.
