C and J Sports has been sold, renovated and is now operating under Beaver Dam Dive Shop and Resort.
Excellent newly renovated dive shop servicing all of Beaver Lake, NW Arkansas, and SW Missouri. Dive gear for sale or rent, new (2022) cascade air fill station, clothing, drinks, picnic staples, and supplies. Lodge, RV camping spaces, pool, and excellent view of Beaver Lake.
Horrible experience, owner rude, so many flys from the trailer behind me"full timer" letting 2 dogs poop on the ground and leaving it. Smell was to bad to even sit outside. Would definitely pay more and find something else.
I recently decided to renew my interest in Scuba Diving. I have been away from the sport for nearly ten years and was not very confident in my abilities. I was recommended to speak with Mrs. Sharlene K., a dive instructor with Beaver Dam Dive Resort. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Sharlene was extremely competent, patient and took the time to go through any skill i was unsure of. In addition, the dive shop crew were incredibly supportive. I was lacking on a few things I would need and instead of trying to sell me the most expensive they sold me what I needed. After visiting the shop, I compared some of the prices I paid. The shop prices were better than I could find online. If you are just starting out, trying to refresh or an experienced diver trying to get some dive time I would highly recommend this shop and their crew.
Beaver Lake has several easily accessed SCUBA diving sites, each with various objects and artifacts to explore, as well as multiple training areas. So, it is no surprise Beaver Lake is a favorite SCUBA diving location for divers from across the 4-State area. I have dived on Beaver for several years. It is not uncommon to meet other divers from St. Louis and Oklahoma City, from Kansas City to Little Rock. The Dam Dive Shop offers equipment sales, rental and service as well as training. They also have a nice R.V. park, and a small store that can provide the essentials for those camping at the one of the many Corp of Engineer camp grounds nearby. The store is clean, well stocked and affordable. Overall, the Dam Dive Shop is a great resource with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
This Dive shop is well organized, extremely helpful and courteous… There is a first timer to Beaver they shared lots of good info with me and even went out of the way to help me out with an equipment malfunction.
Their accommodations (hotel) is also clean and convenient with quick access to the dive park (not to mention air fills in your way back to the room after a full day of diving!).
