We have been here twice within the last year my niece got engaged on our first trip last year in July it was an amazing experience. It was also my sons last hoorah before boot camp. We did experience some trouble with my daughters service animal he is a Doberman sweetest thing ever however a member of their staff was triggered after seeing him she had an unimaginable experience with a Doberman. After some explanation and documentation we were able to have the matter resolved without further incident. Normally I wouldn’t consent to documentation cause it isn’t required however under the circumstances I felt it was necessary and appropriate to do so. We enjoyed our stay the cabins were fully furnished with most things you would need such as cook ware and utensils. The deposit for animals is reasonable our entire family all have dogs, We rented three cabins for 15 humans and 7 dogs and after some light cleaning to meet our personal standards we were all set. We came out again this year 2021 for Mother’s Day PERFECT time to go practically had the River to ourselves this time it was a much smaller group 5 adults and two small children. And 1 service animal. We had such a wonderful time and my grandsons were over the moon with excitement. I must say the staff handled all my groups Chaos in July 2020 wonderfully and truly helped me sort it all out. I appreciated that because it was not her responsibility to help me organize matters with regards to charges for everyone but she helped tremendously I never felt like a burden or rushed she never seemed rude or annoyed by my apparent frustration with last minute changes and switches. My son even backed into a pole with a golf cart that I wasn’t aware of and once notified I was able to quickly resolve the matter without hostility. Our first trip was chaotic and the respect we were treated with was a refreshment especially cause of the times we are living in today. I can’t wait for our next trip hopefully within the next few weeks.
We have been going to Clearwater Ranch twice a year for over 20 years. The owners have become like family. Lots of hiking & relaxing in the river as well as very dark skies. An astronomer’s dream vacation. Some of the best skies we’ve seen anywhere in the country.
We found the water! Cold and deep. Good times on the River, well kept campsites and cabins, and a live music experience under the BIG moon!
Hey people, that same Steve that you are talking about has multiple DUI convictions and went to Prison for Manslaughter. He and Reashell conned my wife's parents into adopting him and turning everything over to them. They were doped up on oxy and dying at that time. You should do your due diligence. Things aren't always what they seem!! Look at the Yelp reviews, Look at Travelocity. They aren't written by family and friends of Felon Steve and Chia head Reashell Davis.
By telling you the truth under the 1st Amendment, Felon and his wife have complained to the local DA that I am picking on them.

First trip to the Frio and was 110% satisfied. The cabins are great! Visited other places while in the area and Clearwater was so peaceful. Not over crowded like other places and CW had more water to swim. Staff was great. Will deffintly be coming next year and dragging my family.
