For a safe place at a reasonable price and good understanding management, they get 5 stars. Its a peaceful place. If your looking for an RV or Trailer site to park for a week or more this is a great place. If your passing through or looking for a hotel that's not outrageous in price, go here. They have cabin rentals that are extremely reasonable, close to town and the lake.

Absolutely loved it here. Our spot was nice. Great access to Amistad NRA. Nice management. Saw herds of black tailed deer in the campground. Quiet. Nobody bothered us.

One night stay at this rv park. Very accommodating manager. Convenient location on Hwy 90; across from Amistad Reservoir. Our spot was between 2 cabins. It was 50amp, level, and full hook-ups. There was a field behind us, so it was very quiet. Saw deer a few sites from ours. I would stay here again if in the area.

Great campground, it's a primitive campground so it was great for tent camping but there were several smaller rv's there too.

I can’t say enough about the ownership and staff at American Campgrounds. I pulled my travel trailer in the first part of February 2024 with hopes of not leaving until July 2024. My goal was to fish Lake Amistad during that period but due the lake levels it would no longer be safe to launch my boat, much less fish. I pulled my travel trailer out on February 28th, less than a month being there. I was only charged for the one month along with the electric bill for that month. They were supper fair with me and I would recommend American Campgrounds to everyone this is the place to stay. Frank Wisdom, San Antonio, TX
