This is a Great place to stay! I visited last year on my way through the area, stopped for two nights, ended up staying for three months! Back this year for four months. Great People, nice activities, peaceful trails, good little town, nice weather, and a very decent rv park run by friendly Nathan. You will enjoy staying here! Just got back from a wonderful pot-luck dinner and then some friendly card games after. Some many nice people and such a comfortable place to relax for the Winter months.
I honestly hate to give this place such a high rating because I want it to remain the hidden gem that it is! If you like history, nature, and super nice people, then you'll love this place. We'll definitely be back to spend for an extended visit.
We loved our stop over here. Clean facilities (restroom, laundry room, game room). The trails are nice and we spotted some colorful birds (vermilion flycatcher and kingfisher). Wifi was difficult to connect to even after a couple of passwords provided. Nathan was very helpful and friendly, we hope to see him on our next visit.
There were three of us in big RV's and towing. We stayed for an overnight stop on our way to Big Bend. Loved this whole area. We want to come back one day and stay several days and explore. Beautiful area!
Great campground, very clean & organized, with everything you need, including an 18 hole golf course (a bit rough but playable), sites with electricity, water and dump. Didn't use the bathrooms or showers, so can't comment on this. Nathan who checked us in was super helpful and answered all our questions. Also a great price at $42. For 2 nights.
