The first thing you need to be aware of is that this is the “clickiest” park you can choose to stay in. The management has given the “policing” of who comes and goes in Bonita Vista over to an over zealous resident in Bonita Vista. Beware: do not upset this individual in any way or you will find yourself maligned, harassed and threatened, all with the apparent approval of the Managers. Furthermore they will ignore any efforts you make to present your case. I speak from experience. There are a lot of amazing people living in BV but make it your business to figure out who “the groups” are and avoid them, and you will have an awesome stay. Lots of activities etc, but just find your safe spot!! IN RESPONSE TO THE BONITA VISTA MANAGEMENT COMMENTS BELOW : Seriously, this is how you choose to address the review I posted? In response to a serious situation that took place in Bonita Vista you choose to undertake a total character assassination of myself. For the 3 years that I resided at Bonita Vista full time I was one of a group of people that either volunteered for, organized, and or participated in park events. I had many, many good friends and memories of my time in that park and the “reason” I would have wanted to visit the park would be to catch up with them. Your response actually validates the review in that the management of Bonita Vista will not only support a resident of the park waiting in the doorway for several minutes when the hall emptied, taking a visiting former resident of the park, who is attending a Park function, at the invitation of a park resident aside, and try to intimidate, harass and then threaten them. No huge crowd, no swearing, no screaming, AND record them without their knowledge AND then play it to a crowd including yourself. Not only are your comments inaccurate, they are defamatory, libelous and plain out lies! If I was looking to stay at Bonita Vista and reading your response to my review I would really have to give thought to the fact, would I want to stay in a park where the Management will so willingly attack a resident (former) but based on their time living there, in an effort to justify the actions of another person! Definitely NOT!! You’re comment that I ‘wormed’ my way 1 time into the park is totally inaccurate. I actually attended 3 Jam sessions, 1 potluck (by invitation) and Bingo, dinner at a friends and 3 separate visits with friends. So, an erroneous claim! All attended without any incidents! In fact I was very warmly welcomed. Furthermore, I was made aware back in October even before I left Iowa that the individual was telling people in Bonita Vista that I would not be allowed to come in the park if he had anything to do with it. I actually called the manager, you Michelle, and visited with you about this. You told me that I could attend any open functions to the public, dances, Bingo etc., but for Park events. I would have to be invited. If you have such an extensive folder on me wouldn’t that have been the time to tell me that I’m not welcome in the Park? That’s exactly what I was doing the Friday night I was at Bonita Vista. For a program. The actions taken against me were a personal vendetta to make sure I could not set foot in Bonita Vista. Thank you!
