Went there on a mini vacation with my daughter, one of my granddaughters and one of my grandsons. Stayed four nights at this campground. Very nice and peaceful. What they charge is GREAT compared to some of the other ones. Mrs. Roberds lives in Port O'connor and has for about 11 or 12 years. She recommended it to us!
This is a nice park. The owners are very friendly and the park is well maintained. We spent a week there and the owners sponsored two events for the residents. The park is very pet friendly with a laid-back atmosphere. Port O'Connor is somewhat remote but if you like to fish this is a great place and Beacon 44 is the best place to stay. We stayed in a motorhome.
We had a great 3 week stay at Beacon 44 RV. The owners, Mary Jo and her husband, Doug, were so friendly and stopped by several times to check in. Mary Jo was very helpful when we had to leave early due to a health emergency and even contacted us to find out how we were doing later. The campground was very clean and always being kept up. The sites were roomy and had grass. Their twice weekly dinners were delicious and everyone brought side dishes to compliment the theme. These dinners were a great way to meet other people in the park. People in the park were very friendly and inviting. The beach was about a mile away and in February was practically empty. Cathy’s Restaurant nearby and the Beacon 44 fish market were wonderful ways to sample the fresh seafood in the area. If we are on the Texas coast again, we will definitely return.
I am a mobile tech and I work in this park 2 to 3 times a month. It's always been clean, has nice level lots, and a swimming pool. The owner takes care of her property really well.
I have a fiend that stays there and she loves it! The owners are very helpful and the park is not only kept in excellent condition it is very safe.
