I would NOT recommend staying here. I had made a reservation 10 days prior. Within 12 hour of making the reservation I had to cancel due to a medical emergency in the family. I cancelled and was charged $25.00 for cancellation. I recommend staying down the street where they are more accommodating.
The Park was very nice and the staff is terrific. The RV pads and grassy space are large, some have fire pits and small built in grills. The pool area is great with picnic tables or chairs and an amazing view of the sunset over the Bay. Convenient beach access for golf carts or walking right across the street, and vehicle access is not far away.
The Resort is basically built in a marsh which makes for fantastic bird watching but the mosquitos are plentiful and ferocious. Was happy to hear the mosquito spraying truck come down past us late at night and it did cut down on the numbers a bit. Had bug bucket candles outside and spray but spent each night hunting them down and whacking them in the camper. Not faulting the park, just making others aware of the issue!
Staying now. The place is immaculate. The staff is as good as it gets. Location is perfect if you have pets and like to fish. Pool is wonderful as well. I have been all over the country and this place rates number 1. Love Texas and I am from WV. Horns up Texas.
Stayed in a bungalow that was perfectly laid out for our family. Attending a baby shower, the experience was beyond nice it was fantastic.
The Rec center was decorated in a beach/ocean theme, the games were original. Well planned & executed.
Good memories made that will last for a long time. Will definitely put this place on our go to Again agenda.
I can not say enough good things about this RV resort. You can see the sunrises and the sunsets here. THEY are
GORGEOUS. It's laid back, quiet and beautiful. We stayed in the Spoonville cottage and aptly names as it's SUPER super tiny, however what it lacks in space, the view, the cleanliness and even the SUPER sweet staff more than make up for it.
They made sure we had everything we needed during our entire stay not just when we checked in. They were super accommodating.
We honestly couldn't believe how much care was given into every detail. I normally re-clean each hotel room I stay at, and couldn't find one thing to re-clean, it was sparkling.
The pool house, the area, even the beach around our area - they clean up!
Then when we misunderstood about the restaurant ( another one is supposed to come soon!) The manager made sure we had all the info we needed to find a place nearby. (There is a food truck open Thurs-Sundays, otherwise it's a 15 min drive currently)
We already are planning our next trip back and can't wait.
