Very well maintained. Lots of activities for the whole family. All the sites were large enough for any size RV with full hookups. Close to all Galveston attractions. Easy access, right off highway. Management's use of text was very helpful reminding of activities and other information.
We've been RVing for many years and seen a bunch of parks. We love this park and it's location. Always clean and tidy. Great service and 100% amazing manager. Ryan (the manager) is a fabulous guy. Super friendly and makes you feel part of the community. Definatley planning many return visits.
We stayed at Stella Mare for a week in site 53. Great place. Wide roads to easily maneuver. Sites are concrete pads and spacious. Park is well kept. Beautiful pool. The only negative is the laundry facility. They are located in the bathrooms and there are only two washers and two dryers. It's a haul to carry the laundry up two flights of stairs. Drive on beach access is across the street. Close to restaurants and stores. We visited Pier 21 and took a tour of the harbour and the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa. Ate at Fisherman's Wharf. Delicious shrimp poboys. Also ate at Doc Holidays. Food was good and they have happy hour from 3 to 6 PM. Miller's Seawall Restaurant has delicious fried shrimp. Parking is a bit challenging but well worth the time to look for a space to park. Would definitely stay here again!
Staying here for the winter, so far just a wonderful place to stay!!
Feb 2 2024, an update, we had to return home for medical reasons and cut our stay short, but honestly we couldn't have been happier at Stella Mare. The staff and management are some of the friendliest we have encountered anywhere. The facilities are first class all the way. The park design is excellent, the pull through spaces are outstanding and the overall experience was superb. While in the Galveston area for a month we toured most of the other parks, and to be perfectly honest, nothing compares even remotely to Stella. Ryan and his team are doing a great job of delivering a truly memorable experience. We cant wait to return next winter.
Stella Mare is a fantastic RV Resort. Located a short drive or walk to the beach on Galveston Island the resort just has that "resort" feel without being all "stuffy". Management is the key to good resorts and in 2024 Stella Mare has an excellent manager. The RV sites are all concrete, roads are concrete, great water drainage, grounds are immaculate, wonderful pool, nice shower houses with laundry, utilities are in great shape. We would highly recommend Stella Mare to anyone and will be back for another extended stay in the future.
