Travel south on TX-60 S, turn left onto FM 2031 and travel 5.8 miles south to the RV Park entrance.
We thought the area was beautiful and the RV park was very well kept, there is overflow parking close for visitors. The park hosts were nice and kept a good eye on things. Some nice spots to fish and sit also a pier which was nice except while we were there a family of about 20 showed up and took over the pier. That was a bummer, they had poles all over the place, kids running on and off the pier and I am sure they caught more than their legal amount. They need a second pier a bit bigger than what they have. The beach is not a far walk from the RV site and its really nice. Fishing was good and we managed to catch a few. The biggest problem that they have are mosquitos !!!! OMG they will swarm you. So do not forget the bug spray or a light to kill them, I kid you not they are bad!!!! The RV park is very dog friendly as well but spray your fur babies for the mosquitos. Night time was quiet. All in all we would stay there again and I recommend you give this place a try.
It was nice and quite. Not very clean and very little to do around, as few shops were opened. Of course, I went during the month of October and wasn't expecting to be very active or busy. Enjoyed my day walking on the beach.
The airstream campsite is awesome. It is well maintained and comfortable. Mosquitos can be under control if you live in the RV and have spray on you outside. Be careful to let your dogs play in water besides the campsite since the sharp rocks or seashells will cut their paw pads.
We stayed at a site overlooking the water. They have nice cement pads with a pergola and cement table and benches for each site. There are very few trees but lots of grass and it was nice and breezy so it didn't feel as hot as it could have. They just built little rental 2 and 3 bedroom apartments on the street side that were almost finished. They will be ready by the end of June. A little pricy at $250 and $350 a night. The campground doesn't have direct access to the beach, there's a small wall that runs along the water but the beach is right next door, walking distance. There is a welcome center with a small shop that has some little essentials but not very much. Everyone drives their cars and trucks directly on the beach! My husband overheard someone say they got stung by a jellyfish, we didn't know they were there but had I known I wouldn't have gotten in the water! All in all its a very well maintained clean and pretty park.
