Cute place. Full hook ups. The creek running through is really adorable. The play area for kids could be better. Not much for kids to do when raining. Bar with good food just a short walk down the road. Had good fishing, and nice docks and good spot to swim. Everyone was friendly, even made friends to camp with in the future. We will come back.

We really enjoyed this campground. My wife and daughter along with my father-in-law and mother-in-law camped here for 3 days towards the end of August. We had sites that were right along the creek that runs through the campground. To be honest this was one of the coolest things as we got to relax and enjoy the running water and my daughter could watch the couple of ducks that hung out there each day. When other campers with children came in there was a lot of kids “running through the creek” but let’s be honest what else would one expect? We even saw a couple of bald eagles 🦅 in the campground.

The bigger bathroom was super clean and the showers had a lot of hot water. They also had a family bathroom up there which was nice for bathing our 18 month old.

We rented the pontoon boat on the Saturday we were up there and it was a good price. The only issue with it was the fact that it “chugged out” from time to time and the engine would fail. It would re-start up though right away.

In the end, this was a great campground and we decided to make it an annual tradition to stay at the campground as we really enjoyed it.

The owner was really nice and would deliver wood to the campsite each day as well. He was there to help whenever you needed it which was great.

I wonder what the cost of a perm ant campsite is per year & if it comes with a boat slip?

What a amazing property! This 40 acre low key campground had everything you really need, beach area piers. Playground, Swim area and a beautiful crick that was sure to entertain even their oldest guest. The other guest were super friendly. The ducks were so much fun entertaining all week long! The bathrooms were very clean and cleaned daily, the sites are huge the ducks did I mention the ducks!! We really enjoyed shutting down and getting in touch w nature.

The owner Brad was super nice as well! We will be sure to visit the next time we are in the area!!

I can't say enough good things about this campground and the people there. I'm from NH, a travel nurse. I needed help securing a new bumper to my Jeep so I could tow it. I was supposed to leave for Flagstaff tomorrow but was almost in tears because I couldn't get the new bumper on. Susan's husband and friend came out, layed in the dirt with ridiculous mosquitoes 🦟 and got it secured for me so I could tow it. I can't thank you all enough. You guys helped me more than you know. I'll be back next summer for sure!! A million thanks!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Ah, Arbor Vitae Campground! Nestled near the quaint town of Minocqua, Wisconsin, it felt like a chapter right out of a camping novella for our two-month RV sojourn. As first-timers in an RV, the anticipation was high, but the campground exceeded expectations.

**What I Like:**

- Versatile Sections: There's a spot for everyone, whether you're in a tent, a trailer, or a big RV.

- Sue & David: These two run the front office and are super friendly. It feels like visiting old friends.

- RV Setup: Our spot had 50amp power, sewer, trash and water for a single price. Easy to drive in, especially with its location near I-70.

- Quiet Nights: After a fun day, the nights are calm. The sky is full of stars, and most nights are clear.

- Local Fun: Played a card game with local folks and felt right at home.

**What You Might Not Like:**

- Closing Time: The place shuts down by mid-October because it gets too cold.

- Slow Town: Driving in Minocqua means going around 35 mph.

- Far-off Stores: If you need Target or Costco, they're a 2-hour drive away.

To wrap it up, Arbor Vitae Campground is a special spot. Quiet nights, starry skies, and a friendly vibe. Even if there's no big store close by, the peace and nature make up for it. Can't wait for next season!
