From the intersection of Highways 51 and 47 in Woodruff, travel Highway 51 north 6.2 miles to Highway M. Turn right on Highway M. Continue 3.7 miles to North Muskellunge Road. Turn right on North Muskellunge Road and go 4 miles, the campground will be on the left.
Beautiful campground. Newer restrooms, well spaced sites, gorgeous lake. A quiet and relaxing weekend. Charlie was a great camp host.
Great campground, nice clean lake, and is a quiet campground, no generators allowed.

We've camped in the Northern Highland American Legion forest campground for years, and Starette is definitely our favorite. Be aware thought that it is a designated quiet campground, so you can't use generators, and there is no electric or water hookups, so it may not be suitable for some campers
