From jct SR 625 & East Maple Grove Rd: Go 1-1/2 mi E on East Maple Grove Rd.
We booked 3 cabins for 3 nights for 9 people (including 3 kids under 10, and their dad, a quadriplegic in a 300+ lb power wheelchair). The staff accommodated us coming out the week before to confirm door widths and cabin access for the chair and the ramps. We arrived, the cabins were spotless. The site was perfect. The seasonal campers, amazing. They had a “Christmas in July” theme and activities for the kids. We enjoyed every minute. Thanks to Lori at the office, the manager for ensuring the pool lift was operational, the woman monitoring the safety of the kids and adults on the water slide. We will be back in the fall. Thank you so much. 5 stars
Just spent the weekend here. Do not stay in the cabins. Cabins have bed bugs. My child was bit in several places on her neck and back. Also, we lost power from 10 AM to 3 PM., with no feedback from the staffing on what was happening. It was 94 degrees, we were there with children and my pregnant daughter for a family trip. They refused to sell us ice from the store due to the outage. They snidely laughed when we even asked for it. I will say, I can handle a power outage while camping, but this staff was incredibly rude to my husband, my son and even to each other. This is by far the worst camping experience we have ever had as a family or at all. Mike the camp manager is of no help. He is extremely arrogant and it seems as though he does not want weekend campers on this campground. I've read several reviews since being home, and it seems like he has many issues with previous campers as well. Corporate has been contacted but are of no help either. The way this man spoke to my son is unnacceptable. I will be looking for further action. This is not OK! Beware of this place.
I give this place 0 stars but unfortunately in order to post this I was forced to select 1 star. FYI
The cabins are amazing. I've read so many bad things but we experienced none of that. The political flags are a little off putting that are on people's golf carts but that is the only downside. The campground, campground staff and most people we met are amazing. Will definitely stay again!
Went to look at seasonal sites
We were given a list of available sites. We toured the campground spent 1.5 hours looking at available sites, settled on one signed the contract to the site, then we were told that that site was not available because it was promised to a member already with seasonal site at this campground… 🤥😡
What really pissed me off was manager couldn’t come out of hiding to explain the situation to us, and try save us from walking or try to sell us another site. He sent the counter person (very good and apologetic) to tell us the news of his lack of attention to detail.
BED BUGS. Cabin C4 .. We went October 2022 found bed bugs in this cabin, told the office and they switched our cabin.. so they were aware THERE WAS A PROBLEM. Went back October 2023 rented 5 cabins including C4 we check and didn’t see any. My aunt was bit so bad she had to GO TO THE HOSPITAL. Due to their negligence and not properly tenting and bombing said cabin. How do you rent a cabin knowing there is a problem. Our family has been going to this campground since 1973.. when it was privately owned. We had a permanent site with a trailer. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK. This is absolutely unacceptable.
