Located between the towns of Alexandria Bay and Clayton. From RT 81 (N&S)Take exit 50S onto NY State Rt. 12 S. We are 1.8 miles from the exit on the right.
In such an awesome spot very close to downtown Alexandrea Bay and a stone throw from the 1000 islands winery. The staff were kind, the rental spots were a great size and the washrooms were impeccably clean.
Would visit again !
Worst experience ever! They charge a cleaning fee and then turned around and charged us an additional $50 for cleaning again saying we left the place a mess inside and out! We were there for a tournament and were hardly on the site. The toilet overflowed in the shower room and was never cleaned! Pictures are misleading. I could have stayed in a hotel for the price of this place. Def will next year!
Our first camping experience as a travel trailer owner. We opted for this campground because of pull-through availability. This campground is super cozy and well maintained. It offers cabin and glamping rentals, as well as trailer and tent sites. The hostess, upon check-in, was super kind, welcoming, and excited for our stay. I enjoyed myself so much that I didn't want to leave at check-out. The atmosphere allowed for serene relaxation. The location is well balanced between Clayton and Alexandria Bay. It sits directly behind Gal's Place, who serves the best ice cream in Jefferson County. Obviously, the child had ice cream every day. The campground does have a very, very small playground. It would be nice if the equipment was updated, and maybe a few more amenities for the visiting children to partake in. Maybe a basketball court, a splash pad, and more playground equipment. We plan to return next year. 😉 The campground also has great Wi-Fi. Bonus. Nothing was spotty.
Perfect location between Alexandria Bay and Clayton! TJ and Maria were very accommodating and helpful. They are making improvements and care about the appearance of the park. The pull though sites and roads are easy to navigate. There’s a foot path to grass point state park so we fished from the docks at night.
We will be back!!! We originally stayed for 3 nights, in tents, and opted to stay a 4th. I loved that we were able to put up 2 large tents so the kids had their own space and we had ours. There's so much to do in the surrounding area and the campground is a perfect hub to start your trip. The staff was very polite and toured the park often to stop and chat with campers. The facilities were very clean and well maintained.
There is so much we got to see and so much that we didn't get to do. I can't wait for our next visit!
