Campsite: Galloping Snail RV Park

Quiet location about 5 miles outside of town. Next to a peaceful horse pasture. Blazing fast wifi (I believe I clocked 37 mps) so I could downstream HD with hardly any interruptions. The game room is unique and top notch. The owners wife has a massage studio next door and was willing to take me in late when she heard I was in pain. Would like to see someone manning the office more and better gravel (or maybe blacktop) on the sites, but otherwise I recommend this place ... if for no other reason than the name!

Campsite: East View RV Ranch

Very quiet and peaceful location. Well-maintained. Sites and access roads are packed gravel and are fairly level. Not a lot of amenities, but the price is very reasonable, the utilities work solidly and the staff are very friendly. It would be nice to have a few shade trees around.

Campsite: Berry Springs RV Park

Very friendly folks here. Located across the street from Berry Springs Park, which is great for a lovely walk. Far enough from the highway to cut out the bulk of the noise (although you can still hear some). Would like to see improved sites with better landscaping and also cable TV option, but overall I had a nice time here.

Campsite: Buzzard Roost RV Campground

Super friendly owner. Nice beyond the call of duty. Sites are level and most have trees. Utilities are fine. Location is good. Highway noise was bearable for me. Wifi is slow and goes out occasionally, but is good enough for basic surfing but not for streaming. Cable TV only for long-term residents. Some of the permanent residents don't really keep up outer appearances and along with some overgrown weeds the place looks a bit run down. But I still had an enjoyable stay.

Campsite: Mobil Village RV Park

It's mostly a mobile home park with 17 RV sites that are in a tight parking lot style. All sites are back-in and are reasonably level. Utilities work reasonably well (in my case the sewer connector was broken) and there is a decent wifi signal. The best part is that the park is in a good location away from traffic and equidistant to Corpus Christi and Port Aransas. They also have a number of community activities to offer. When I was there they had a music jam session going on. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Campsite: Split Rail RV Park & Resort 55+

Great price and nice folks here. Sites are long but narrow. Some of the turns in the park can be difficult for large rigs. There are some nice amenities--I am especially pleased to see several community clothes lines when a lot of parks ban hanging laundry. The park is showing some age and some of the utilities and facilities need upgrading. Wifi didn't work for me in the park. It is also very close to a busy freeway so there is a lot of constant noise. Still, it's a convenient location to access and is near downtown Mission and the Butterfly Park. The reasonable price and friendly folks make the park worth a stay.
