Me and my family stayed the week of October 9th. Unfortunately we were not happy, nowhere on the website does it talk about an off-season. When we arrived all the stuff we thought we could do was not available due to low staffing and majority of the stuff is on Friday and Saturday. None of that was discussed except a flyer on the website that says that there is extra stuff to do on the weekend but we showed up on Sunday and none of that was true. I also was not happy with the cabin as our couch was caved in and sand all over the place.

When speaking to the lady at the desk she made it sound like I was in the wrong because their flyer stated otherwise.

Rooms were awesome, and quite clean for a campground. Staff were incredibly helpful, and I loved seeing an icon from my childhood, yogi Bear. 5 stars, must stay location.

Great facilities for the kids. Pool was great. Activities at every turn. Water park structure is showing its age / use with loose screws and broken water guns and levers. So be careful with that, but it was still fun. Great atmosphere for family camping. They even had movies under the stars. Great staff. Very accommodating.

Do not go here in the off-season. We have had amazing experience at Jellystone parks, so we went out of our way to stop for a couple days at this one on a long road trip. The pool was "open" but their heater was broken (the employee said that is a frequent occurrence). The mini golf was covered in leaves and the turf was coming up /holes were half covered, and the clubs were ROUGH. The play ground was dirty and could use a power wash. There is nowhere to sit while watching kids play on the playground or the bouncing pillow (the bouncing pillow is probably the only non water park thing that looked ok). We were excited that the Rec Center would be open for a few hours only to find out that you had to pay extra to do the crafts. We bought 2 bags to do the gem mining and waited while the employee turned it on, again to find out that it has a part broken on it and we can't do that. We were told that the laser tag and evening movie would be happening, so we went to those: laser tag was an additional fee, and the movie was a DVD that constantly skipped. I feel I could have camped anywhere else for 1/4th the price and at least had a decent playground.

Highlights: The employees have been friendly and the lake view is nice.

We stayed 13 nights and extended twice for another night. It was super empty and enjoyable. We liked the walks with our dog. People were very friendly.

But if you have an all-leash policy for dogs, please have your employees follow the rules as well. It’s not enough that their dogs listen to them, but also how other dogs react to them being loose. Also, I think they should be picking up after their dogs as well. We always did and never saw them doing it. That the park was very empty is no excuse for that!
