North Abutment Campground is located on the north end of Grenada Dam on Grenada Lake. The campground is an excellent destination for boating and fishing.
The region is steeped in history, with an array of civil war landmarks. In summer, Grenada Lake is home to the annual Thunder on Water Safe Boating Festival. Featured events include concerts, a youth fishing rodeo, tractor pull and fireworks display.
In addition to general lake activities like boating, fishing, picnicking and sailing, the region boasts a sports complex, baseball fields, an 18-hole golf course and a fitness trail.
This modern campground is equipped with 88 RV site pads, each with a parking apron and 50 amp electric and water hookups and campsites #2-15 are equipped with sewer hookups. Of the 88 campsites 56 are reservable and the remaining 32 are non-reservable. The lake is accessible via nearby boat ramps, found just outside of the campground. The campground also has an amphitheater in Phase 1.
The campground is on the north shore of Grenada Lake. Several campsites face the water May through August, but the water level is dropped for water storage in winter, making the shoreline as far as a mile from the campground. Within the campground there is a small 17 acre lake that has a swimming beach and is stocked with Bream, Largemouth Bass, and Catfish for the campers to enjoy catching. Grenada Lake is on the Yalobusha and Skuna Rivers in Mississippi. The man-made lake has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water.

Beautiful clean campground but as a single mom to 10 yr old twins on vacay being woke up at 7am with beating on our door by the campground host wanting to know if we had a reservation (which I did and had receipt)&then goes on to tell me how someone else will be coming in today..felt rushed as well and well sir checkout is at 2 and it's 7am!! Host watch you like a hawk and it's one thing to run a tight operation but it felt like I was camping in my grandparents backyard with paw on the golf cart staring to fuss at any min.wont be back. -0
Nice and secluded in February, showers look modern on the inside and very clean. We had lake views and full hookups at site 14, $24/night
Grenada Lake is small but pretty. I overnighted here in my van and liked it so much I returned for 4 more nights. Lakeside sites rocked! Peaceful and pleasant, well cared for campground.
Very nice campground! Reasonably priced and peaceful! We didn't use the restrooms, but the grounds were clean and well kept. The reservation system was easy to use. We had fun biking around the area.
