About Campground

River Town Campground on the Great River Road is located on Highway 61 South, with spacious sites and peaceful surroundings. We are only minutes away from historical downtown Vicksburg and the Vicksburg National Military Park. We are close enough to all the casino fun on the river, but far enough out to feed deer in the park. Our pull through sites will accommodate a rig of any size without having to unhook your towing vehicle. The sites are spacious enough for you to breathe when you let your slides and your awning out. We have 20/30/50 at each site. Come enjoy a cup of coffee with us on our porch, or just sit and enjoy the beautiful sunset in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Rivertown Rose has been our home away from home for the past month. Elizabeth, assistant manager, is kind and so very helpful. This is the best campground in Vicksburg. The only suggestion that I would offer is there needs to be more entrance lighting. It is difficult to find once the sun sets! I highly recommend.

Pet friendly and safe. I have a cool vintage camper and theft is common but more important for me is my dog if I leave him there for two hours. I felt safe at this campground. Enough long term campers with nice rigs around to watch and new campers coming in. Larger rv park with clean bathrooms/showers. Garbage pickup daily. Nice staff. Would definitely come back.

Easy access in to office, a change from last years uturn access to the office on the hill. Nice large site , lots of work has been done so things were a little soft with all this weather. Tried calling for reservations and answering phone doesn’t say its the campground!

Stayed here several times. Nice stopover. They have really expanded their facility with many, many more campsites, some of which appear to be a work in progress.

I do wish they would do some additional work on the campsites as many, many are not very level.

Good sized RV spaces. Gravel roads and sites well maintained. Electric and water good. Wifi out when we stopped over night. Our pull through long enough for 41' MH and Toad without unhooking. Didn't use bathhouse.
