Beautiful park and clean restrooms and facilities. Wish there was a convenience store or the lodge was open for entertainment or food services year round. Safe and great place to go fishing, just relax, picnic, hike or enjoy the woods and lake. Day pass is $2 to see it all. Must visit if in Pike County area. Also religious service available Sunday mornings too.

Percy Quinn State Park in McComb, MS is the worst place in the state. I traveled from SC for our annual Family Reunion to the most disgusting place my Family ever experienced. The photos speaks for itself. I recommend not go there until they use the federal funding to upgrade/ rehaul the entire cabins. We are very disappointed in the campground especially the cabins (cabin 12 and cottage 1)This is not all photos I will update as I receive them from family members. Bed bugs as well in cottage 1. Do not recommend.

We went primitive tent camping on the lake. There is cell service. I have half full bars. Was only $20! I brought my daughter and our dog.

Fun getaway for a night.

One of my favorite of our MS State Parks (and that's saying something bc we have some gems). The primitive area is perfect for tent camping, more than just a patch of woods but also not a total glamping spot, it's the perfect middle ground. They also have a golf course, cabins on the lake and lodges for bigger groups. Beautiful lake and walking trails. Great little weekend getaway if you live within a couple hours of McComb.

Pros: The location of the cottages (NOT cabins) is absolutely STUNNING. The most amazing views right outside your cabin. Plus, you can pull your boat right up to the bank and park. This was incredibly nice. The air conditioning was amazing it stayed 69-70 degrees the entire weekend. The deadbolts on the doors are VERY secure. Good mount of clean towels and wash cloths.

Cons: The cabin was absolutely filthy and rotting. For $90 a night I don’t expect a five star hotel, but I do expect there to not be cobwebs, bugs, and filth every where. The TV was just on a piece of wood as it looked like it fell off the mount. There are numerous pieces of missing molding or it was just falling off. There were bullet holes by the back door (I figured from being an old fema house). So many bugs EVERYWHERE. There is a huge gap under the front door so bugs EVERYWHERE. The beds were awfully uncomfortable. There is nothing so be warned… no soap, trash bags, paper towels (which it’s camping so what do you expect just a heads up). The blinds are all torn and broken. It smelled really stale as if it had been closed up for a long time. Don’t even get me started on the heating closet.

Overall, the location is so beautiful and convenient that I am not against returning. I just would need an entire extra day added to my trip to clean before hand so it wasn’t disgusting. I understand everyone is short staffed right now and times are hard, but I just feel with a little more upkeep and maintenance this place could be better. Lots of potential.
