Beautiful place with free camping. I picked up a ton of trash. Let’s keep it clean folks so we can keep places like this free and open.
Been going here for camping for the last two years now in August. Wood fire bans were in effect both times but that's what happens going later in the summer. First time I went up was for the solar eclipse August 2017 and the trip was fantastic. Going when it is in the warmer time in summer is great as the water isn't too cool and its a great way to cool off from the sun. Plenty of fish jumping every morning and I hear there are about 11 species of fish in the lake.
This place is absolutely beautiful, best part is, it is 1st come, 1st serve. Always has spots, even on Saturday afternoon, Memorial Weekend. Please clean up after yourself so this can remain free, for all to use.
