About Campground

Family owned and operated for over 40 years. Primitive camping and no-hookup sites for RV's. We accept no reservations as there are no reserved sites, but in 40 years, we have never been "full".  We offer waterfront access to Lake Travis with 1,200 feet of shoreline, and scuba diving is a major pastime here as well with an underwater park so bring a mask and snorkel (we're the #1 dive site in Texas)! 25 minutes from downtown (used to be 17 minutes, but the city grew).

btw … We're not the government, so you can openly consume your adult beverages of choice responsibly … also, since our insurance won't allow them, (and as we are a barefoot-friendly locale), dogs are not allowed (putting them in the same category as glass containers, fishing, and fireworks) ... sorry Fido!!!

Our new favorite place in the world. This is a rare place, so beautiful and so simple. The owner told us to think of it as our own backyard on the lake. No reservations, no assigned spaces, no cement, no gimmicky up-sales, no interference at all. Just a nice family-owned park run by an incredibly nice family on incredibly beautiful land. We're in love with this place!

Pretty expensive for the offering but they let you burn wood during a burn ban because it’s privately owned land. And they offer free firewood.

Pretty view, and John is a cool dude (the veteran). Morning is going to be rough, especially if you don’t get to sleep at a decent time due to hearing everyone’s conversations next to you because the area is small. Can’t drive your vehicle on the campsite. But they offer you courtesy carts and staff to help you off load.

They have a special staff member that will help escort you off the property around 6AM, their resident rooster that I am pretty sure they served Red Bull to the night before. Let me tell you, this rooster has no sense of time. Rooster was going off from 5 to 7 am although he starts to get tired around seven but don’t worry, if you start to fall back asleep, that would quickly be ruined by their inconsiderate scuba instructors they partner will. They will come in jacked up on Starbucks and dump all of their equipment onto the campground, chattering like no one sleeping, anywhere those tents near by, I guess they think we’re just in there chopping it up already at 6 AM. Pretty much you won’t get any sleep. Wouldn’t recommend for camping, would recommend for a day trip.

The SCUBA park manager got arrested. No air fills. That's a private park, our family was looking for a cleaner atmosphere. Don't go. There are better places to go diving for free on Travis.

This is a privately owned camping ground and park on the lake shore. Nice view with plenty of games to play and sites to camp. They even had a campfire for the whole park, where everyone was invited to enjoy s’mores. Overall friendly staff and beautiful property to relax.

I had the pleasure of staying here for three nights while cross country traveling. The management ( which is new ) and the family behind this wanderlust, scenic, nostalgic, beautiful property was absolutely incredible! Steven, was a delight to chat with about the property, its future and its nostalgic past! This is a must stop for anyone who values peace and quiet with a very strong community and family bond! I would highly recommend staying, camping overnight or day tripping out here for an experience, a sunset, a sunrise and a campfire! I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds when I return this November’24.. Great to have met you all !
