This was my first tubing trip. It was a lot of fun. Our campsite was walking distance to the river. The stretch of river had a mix calm water and rapids. Just enough to keep it interesting. The shuttle back came within 15 to 20 mins, but we had also seen the previous one drive by right before we got to the stop.
My kids absolutely love this campground. It is a very special section on the Guadalupe River with steady stream flow and pools throughout.
Gorgeous in the fall and tubing this section of the river is one of the best spots in Texas.
Take a tent and enjoy!
Came here in May of 2019 and rented kayaks with some friends and the trip down the Guadalupe was so peaceful and serene. There were a few rapids- maybe class III- it did rain for a bit on our trip but it was all well worth it. A bit on the pricey side but it was about a two hour ride and they shuttled us back from the drop off point. For what it’s worth it was a wonderful experience.
Worst experience ever. There was very little water on the river on Saturday. We walked more that we floated. I wished the attendant would have recommended that we didn't float. My group got so many bruises and my daughter had to go to the ER. I would never recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of Money and ER visit.
No electricity camping unless you bring charging ports which we did 😁. We already knew ☺️. The nicest Porta-Pottys!! Clint, the mgr of the grounds is a great guy! Our site was badass and beautiful! Right by the river. They do have actual bathrooms with shower but we were doing primitive 😂! We paid $30 a night, stayed May 26 to today May 29th. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bergheim!! We'll be back for sure ❤️❤️❤️
