Nice park but a little run down. Take fire ant killer and watch for sticker burrs. But all in all we had a good time and probably will return. They seem to have maybe a armadillo problem as there are lots of holes that appear to be from armadillos. Park host was very nice and they did have a nice hiking trail.
Everyone here was very nice and we felt safe there tent camping. The restrooms were clean and the park was well maintained. We spent the weekend camping here with friends and their family. We had such a great and relaxing time we wanted to extend our stay another night (Sunday). We went to the front and the lady said sorry they were completely full and the chances anyone would cancel were slim to none. Our friend looked at their online booking site and saw that there were PLENTY of spots left so we booked our spot for another night. I'm not sure why she lied about no spots being available.
Beautiful large campsite with wonderful views of the lake we will stay longer next visit
I like this park except for stickers! Poor dogs can’t walk on the “grass” due to all the stickers. Tons of deer to enjoy and lots of species of birds! Beware do not arrive early we had to wait before they would let us in! Sites are large and level gravel. Picnic table and fire ring!
Great campground with nice staff! Large gravel sites with great views of the water. We loved seeing the deer every morning and evening. Electric and water only with a dump station nearby.
