Explore the variety of camping options available at Willow Springs International Raceway.
There is no charge for dry camping. We do have full RV hook up at $50.00 a night.
A cool place to go to take your toy for some track time.
They have multiple tracks here to play around: Big Willow, Balcony Autocross and Skid Pad, Horse Thief Mile, Willow Springs Kart Track, Streets of Willow Springs, Speedway Willow Springs, and Walt James Stadium.
I've been here a handful of times with the organizers Xtreme Speed Track Events and Speed Ventures. Fun, organized, and good people. I've only been on Streets of Willow Springs and have yet to try the others. As far as Streets goes, it's a short and technical track. Fun, and a great starting point to learn your lines and your car.
A food truck is available on site but it is CASH ONLY. I believe there's a restaurant as well.
They have gas available to pump (91 unleaded, 101 unleaded, 110 leaded). There's also a tire shop on the premises.
It's quite a drive to get here if you're from Orange County (or anywhere honestly), but it's worth it!
20 dollar entry to watch Sunday cup racers go at it. 7 tracks to watch; big willow and streets are the major players. Horse thief mile(?) is the drift track. They filmed many movies here such as Ford Vs Ferrari as well as Top Gear old and new, The Grand Tour and many other Netflix and Prime video series specials. Food n drink are available but can get pricey. Advise to bring an ez up, chairs, drinks and food. We Bbq'd for lunch n supported our friend in his S2000. Parade lapped during lunch break. Great track event. Only con: 1 dude in an older bug eyed faded blue WRX with carbon hood and carbon fenders going too fast and over passing cars during a parade laps. Dude bro don't be selfish and mess it up for everybody. How does it feel to be passing people during parade lapping?? Must feel like a big man now since you probably can't pass people when the track is hot. Event staff were notified by participants; the dude jammed out; probably knew he's messing it up for everybody n couldn't even admit to fault and be a man about it. Other than that it's been a good day. Take it to the track, don't do stupid side shows.
Best Place Ever!!!
Well maybe... This historical venue for speed is a great place. You can tell the owners try to keep it somewhat updated (I'm looking at you buttonwillow) and Big Willow is a blast to drive.
I live next to Sonoma Raceway so that's my standard to compare against and although the track surface has not changed and is full of imperfections, the facilities are top notch for a raceway.
With that being said, I'd like to focus on the restaurant. It's great! They have a MASSIVE menu for a track venue in the middle of the desert. They even have a bar (Say Whaaaat?!).
Pro Tip: if you're there on a busy track day, get there early, trust me.
However if your into getting some eats while at a fast and fun track, this is your jam!
Don't forget to hit up the gift shop and grab some cool merch!
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL (AND NOT SO LOCAL) TRACKS!!!
Great experience! My son and grandkids all ride so this was a really nice experience for all of us. Great track here and a very safe experience as well. To be able to ride on a true race track and get some legal speed going!
If you want to ride fast and safe here's the place to do it.
It's clean and they have a nice restaurant and gift shop etc... if it's hot when you go here make sure to bring a pop up for shade. It will make all the difference.
I go here several times a year to get my road course fix. There are several tracks here and there are often multiple events going on per weekend from track days to spec racing to drifting, it's great and you get to see all kinds of cars and motorcycles ripping it on road courses.
Special mention to the food cafe, their stuff is delicious! Especially the turkey melt! 👌
