The space:
This yurt retreat offers a unique and immersive experience in the heart of the California desert.
Each yurt is nestled on a private deck overlooking the vast landscape, providing a tranquil space to unwind and soak up the serenity.
Inside the yurt, you'll find a cozy futon. The open-concept living areas are bathed in natural light. For a truly rustic experience, you can even opt to cook your meals over the campfire.
Guest access:
Guests have exclusive access to the yurt retreat grounds, which include a fire pit, picnic area, and stargazing deck. There are also several hiking trails nearby, offering the opportunity to explore the surrounding desert landscape.
Other things to note:
" This is a secluded retreat, so be prepared to disconnect from the outside world. Cell phone reception is limited, and there is no Wi-Fi."
The yurts are not air-conditioned, so be sure to pack accordingly for the desert heat or the winter cold." All guests are required to sign a waiver upon arrival.

We loved staying in the big blue yurt. It was a perfect size for our family. The beds were all soooo comfortable. All of the accommodations were perfect and it felt so cozy. We were definitely sad to leave. It was such an amazing experience as a family. The host was very helpful and replied quickly to any text sent. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough!
As long as your understand that this is "glamping" and not a hotel stay, you'll love 28 Palms Ranch Stargazing Yurt Village. The yurts are cozy and comfortable. The owner is very helpful and friendly. The location is quick and easy to Joshua Tree NP.
Our experience at 28 Palms Ranch was incredible! Erin was a fantastic host, super polite and kind. The location was secluded and had gorgeous views. The yurt itself was spacious and I cannot get over how comfortable the bed was! I cannot recommend these yurts enough, and we will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area!
A must do !! Very easy to get to and in a super convenient location that offers the feeling of being isolated but also close enough to all the great activities Joshua tree has to offer. Let’s not forget the breathtaking starry nights and how dark it gets!
Erin was extremely accommodating from beginning to end, and maintains an incredible establishment. The yurts are very charming and comfy. A huge bang for your buck. Highly recommend doing this, will be returning some day.

Erin was super helpful and friendly(and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation!). The yurt was stocked with everything we needed and beds were very comfortable. Our daughter loved the floor bed. Shower was plenty warm enough, even on a cold morning. Hope to make another visit someday soon.
