This forested campground is located on Frazer Creek. Good location for large groups. Beautiful Western Larch trees. Acess to mountain bike trails and scenic drives.
From Twisp, WA, take State Rt. 20 east 1.3 miles to an intersection. Turn left, staying on Rt. 20, and go 10.6 miles to "USFS Rd 42/Campground" sign. Turn left at sign onto Forest Rt. 42 and go 0.5 miles to an intersection. Turn right, staying on Rt. 42, and go 0.5 miles to campground on left.
Logging is going on in the campground and it is closed. A sign said that the logging was for danger tree removal, but it seems much more than just that.
Great place to get some sleep while traveling. Closed due to failing trees so we parked outside the gate. Beautiful spot for lunch, in the mountains.
A well-maintained campsite. The pit toilets were very clean and odor-free! Quiet, with wildlife sounds in the background. What more could you want?
Wish location was closer to a creek, the camp host was extremely rude and should be relieved of her position. I gave 3 stars because I got the peace and quiet in the woods I wanted for fathers day weekend.
Happy we found this location. Wasn't crowded at all. We had plenty of room on our site. Very well kept location. Beautiful forest around you.
