Very dishonest. First and last time I will be going to this park. The scenery and lake are beautiful but what makes my review low is the staff. My group bought our two sites with the promise of 3 tents per site in advance and once we arrived and we’re done setting up we had a staff member come over to us very hostile. The first words out of his mouth to us were “when did I tell you to setup that tent” this was our first interaction with this person. He then went in to explain we were only allowed one tent per site and we would have to pay $40 a night per addition tent. We checked the screen shots of what we orders online and showed the office staff. We were then told by office staff that the policy was different than what was said on the website. Our two options were to either pay for an additional $300 for another site or pay the extra $40 per night per tent. We were told by staff this is them “being nice to us and this is all non refundable”. My whole group felt like we got scammed. My group had member's of it that have been going for 20 years with out issues until this trip. Another camp site also talked to us about how unhappy they were with price increases and how poorly the grounds are taken care of. They have been going for 30 years. My group spent over $900 on 3 sites alone and expected a little more. I’ve never felt this way after going camping before and barely write reviews. I hope they figure it out because it’s very beautiful.

Been staying here and in the area fir 30 plus years. From tent camping, RVing, lots of boats, and this weekend, a cabin with friends.

Cabins are basic and generally clean, but dear lord, a collapsed mattress is not acceptable. Difference between soft, medium, etc is understandable...these things were completely collapsed. Two of the group slept on the floor the second night.

And Kareoke is ok...we have joined in during past visits. But shut it off at a decent hour. It has become ridiculous, well past 11. Just dumb for a camp ground/resort where there is no escape (it's outdoors in the center of the resort).

You folks (owners) have a golden egg in your hands..better nurture it. Will be a long time before we consider coming back. And we were part of a annual group of 30+ (Jones Bay, camp ground and cabins here, and Steamboat) who hang out. Word travels fast. What a disappointment to watch.

Just camped there this weekend for the 1st time and we will not be going back. The prices to stay are very expensive so we expected more out of this place for what they want to be charging. The sites we booked that whole area is very crammed! You could literally hear your neighbors talking in their camper. Our neighbors were a group of drunks so we got to hear them all night and by 7am they were at it again. When we 1st arrived there was 2 piles of fresh dog poop on our site and we had to wait 20 min for it to be picked up. They charge almost 8 bucks a bag for ice! And get this. If you want to fish you are not allowed to fish anywhere on that entire campground. You have to have your own boat, rent one if theirs or walk yourself out to the main road and fish off of main road. I’m not really sure what the reason is behind this other than they want more of your money so you have to rent their boat. We left everyday we were there to Steamboat because we could fish there and the swimming area is wayyyyy nicer. The Cantina there has alright food but also very pricey. Their shower stalls have dollar store shower curtains and half the holes where the shower curtain rings go are ripped so only about 1/2 the shower curtain is actually hung so you’ve gotta be careful cause you don’t really have privacy while showering. I’m not one to complain about prices but when your charging 70 plus per night your place should be more kept up and cleaner. This place is not worth the money they want to be charging and we had kind of heard a lot of these same issues but we wanted to try it out for ourselves. The best part of this place was the band they had there “Rusty Nail and the Hammers” they sang good and sounded really great!

My family has been going to this campsite for over 20 years and we have so many good memories but sadly this past summer will be our last. This place has gone through so many owners and changes but that never affected anything until this last summer. We have always been told that no more than 6 people and 3 tents were allowed per site. We have always done that and even was allowed to pay a deposit to hold the spot. All of that has changed. When we went this last time, we were told we have to pay extra for an addtional site since we had 3 tents (never was a problem before) so we did. Then they wanted us to pay an extra $125 for the 3 tents as well and I was like Oh hell no! It was just outraguous and no more nice employees.....it made me really sad that this place is being run like this now. I am also guessing thats why it was so empty? This was a weekend and usually saturdays are packed but it was like a ghost town. We usually meet fellow campers and have a great time of it but it was the opposite this time around. Like I said, we have been going there since I was 36 and now I am 59 and won't be back unless the prices change. No one wants to pay $400-$500 just for a weekend of camping. This year we will probably book Coullee Play Land or go to Lake Chelan. To bad, because we loved this place.....oh well....sigh

I have been going here for over 10 years but will never go back and I have told everyone I know who goes here the same thing. I rented a trailer full hookup spot and there was a tent in my spot. No big Deal. I asked if I could move to a none full hookup spot and was told it would cost less and I would receive a credit on my card but that never happened. I called several times and I have documentation of the dates and whom I spoke with. I requested to speak with the manager Christal McPherson and she refused to talk to me. I continued to call, and she later talked with me, said I would get a refund but made so many excuses about how difficult that would be. I never got the refund and they have stopped calling me back when I attempt to make contact. I am not done yet and this is not cool. They don't know anything about customer service and don't care. The facility is managed by the managers mother and aunt and it seems they cover for each other. The previous management was awesome but since new management has taken over things have gone downhill. I hope something can be done about this problem.
