Located 5 miles from Lake George and 15 miles from Queensbury. From Exit 23 I-87 Northway go west to a right on Route 9. Go to first traffic light and take a right and go 7/10 of a mile. Just past school which is on the left, WTP is on the right.
We love it here! We always have a great time and everyone is just so nice and friendly. This was our second year there and unfortunately because of this crazy rain the beach wasnt open but all the events setup and a nice clean pool kept us nice and busy. Our kids looved playing on the huge play grounds and its overall just a wonderful weekend away of relaxation. Big plus , when quiet time is 11pm its actually quiet and CLEAN bathrooms ! We will be back next year ! Thanks for another great camping experience!
I want to say that Suzanne was absolutely wonderful and I apologize I don't remember the other wonderful ladies name. One of park staff a very nice young man was great.
We had an issue going through the park with all the trees and on sharp corner that couldn't see that the tree top was tilting into the road. We clipped it and the bracket for the brand new topper was embedded in the tree. After we were parked in our site, Suzanne proceeded to find the part embedded in the top of tree. Her and her staff helped us get the long topper of. They were great. A camper near the tree let us us there wooden ladder to get the part out of the tree.
Why the 3 stars I called about confirm the 30 Amp vs 50 Amp service. I thought we had 50, but I was incorrect. I had my phone on speaker phone. My daughter and husband heard the way I was talked to. The commit from him of canceling my reservation and getting my money back was his wrong assumption not mine and then hang up one me was inexcusable. Tried 3x calling back. When he called me back and again put on speaker phone and he was just as demeaning .... because of this is my 3 that outways the good from Suzanne and other two staff.
Lastly couldn't connect to wifi and reception for TV was so fuzzy couldn't have watched it we wanted too.
We had a great time during our stay last weekend. Suzanne and the staff were awesome. Very friendly and helpful. The band Mike and the Monsters were awesome and a lot of fun. Phil Singer did a great job with the caricature. We always enjoy our stay at Warrensburg Travel Park and will be booking our reservations for next year as soon as our group can decide on dates.
Hands down, the best campground in lake George! Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 young children) spent the last week tent camping at this amazing place. We were there during their Halloween in August celebration. And they went all out. They had a bounce water slide, a virtual reality ride, live bands, haunted wagon ride, crafts and trick-or-treat for the kids. You can really tell that they care about their campers and go out of their way to make sure that they have an amazing experience. Restrooms, porta potties and showers were immaculate. Cleaned / pumped out daily. Campsite was spacious and not muddy (we had a few days of rain) The pool was beautiful and heated. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas all around the pool as well. Carl, Sue and the rest of the staff are absolutely awesome. We will be continuing our family camping tradition at Lake George with Warrensburg Travel Park from now on. Can't wait to return next season!
Karl is the best.
He was so very helpful and full of kindness!!
Haven’t stayed at the campground yet, just made the reservations. If the camp is 1/2 of wonderful as Karl is, we will be beyond delighted!!!
