About Campground

Veterans Campground is open to all Honorably discharged military veterans: active duty, Guard/Reserves, veterans, retired, disabled, and military families. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the campground relies on donations and volunteers to host many of its annual activities (fishing and boating outings, picnics, children’s activities, fundraisers, etc.) that provide rest and recreation. Since the Global War on Terrorism, younger veterans and their families are joining Vietnam, Korean, and World War II-era veterans at the camp for camaraderie, family fun, and recreation.

Family fun for all! 24 cabins, 167 RV sites, 15 tent sites, cabin rentals, boat rentals, golf cart rentals, boat launch, marina, swimming beach, and more!

Reservations for stays of one week or longer are taken year round. Weekend reservations begin each May 1st.

Summer Camping: Apr 15 to Oct 15 (weather permitting)

Winter Duplex Cabins: Oct 16 to Apr 14

Veterans only! However we were asked to come as guests to a Birthday celebration. No mosquitos to "bug"us! Plenty of bees though. Huge lake. Fishing rods and rented pontoons.

Google the address. I have been by that place but this was the first time to drive in.

Easy access. Signing in and getting a map on where to go or park the vehicle.

Plenty of stuff to see or watching the boats or Jet Ski's! Maybe 40 miles from Minneapolis.

Wonderful place to camp. Very safe and just around the corner from great restaurants, bike and hiking trails, Stillwater, Minneapolis, lakes and more.

Nice place for Veterans only. Terrie was very helpful filling me in. She answered all my questions, and gave me a map. And explained about the camping and the cabins available.
