Twin Rivers Campground is North Carolina's best kept secret! Nestled on the South Fork of the New River, you are only a 20 minute walk from the confluence of the North and South Forks of the second oldest river in the world! In 1997 President Clinton declared the New River a National Heritage River. The title is a created designation for rivers that have historic and scenic value, and it is intended to highlight the way rivers unite the regions through which they flow.

Great place to get away. Fun atmosphere with great people every time we go. Camping right on the river is awesome !
Great campground and very friendly staff. The primitive area is spread out, well kept, and has Porta potties that are cleaned regularly. They also rent kayaks and inner tubes for going down the river.
Susan, who runs the show, was a lovely and generous host, accommodating us to an extreme. She arranged transportation for us as well, personally driving us to our launch spot on New River. The campground is well-maintained, with clean amenities and a welcoming, family-oriented staff. Will definitely recommend to others!
Twin Rivers is a great camp ground. Been there many times over the years. Management is top notch and the views can't be beaten. Was there for an earthquake a few years back.
