Flying the confederate flag at your business in the hospitality industry is off-putting. RV sites with hookups, and some shaded tent sites. A mix of long term campers and short term vacationers. Staff and long term residents were friendly and helpful. Pretty no frills in terms of amenities, but facilities were clean. A bit of a walk, but still walkable to a few restaurants shops and beach access. Short drive to beach and sound side access, restaurant, stores, small shops, and Hatteras lighthouse.

Since this was our first glamping experience we weren't sure what to expect. But what we got was a small quiet and friendly campground run by great people and visited by friendly folks. There are a few full timers and a few seasonal families but all are respectful and clean. One group of people were a bit loud on Friday night till after 2 am but we're spoken to and all was good. There are half dozen bird condos and the birds fly around and chirp. But not to the point of irritation. This camp is also convinient to everyplace on the island and within a 10 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend and we will be staying again.

Wish we could give NO stars..had a terrible recent experience with the woman in the office.. understand from some locals she is the daughter of the original owners who were great people. She is a very rude woman, and needs lessons in how to treat people. So thankful there are other great campgrounds on the Outer Banks !!

We stayed here last summer. We absolutely loved it. We have been trying to get a hold of them so we can go back this year. We have called several times a day for awhile now and can't get through. It's like the phones are messed up. Does anyone know how to get ahold of them? The phone number on the website is the one we have been trying to call.

Good location friendly staff but prices can be steep. Had to pat extra for amount of kits in my trailer and both dogs. Guy at the neighboring site was a jerk but that's not the campgrounds fault.
