Twenty Mile Beach Dispersed Camping

This beach is NOT meant to drive on or anywhere near the water! If you want to camp overnight, I highly suggest parking as close to the main road as possible. The beach is fantastic for morning or evening walks, but is NOT safe to drive a vehicle on. I learned the hard way after driving a 2021 lifted Jeep Wrangler with 37" tires on the beach, and getting stuck for over 5 hours long! This beach is notorious for vehicles getting trapped due to extremely soft sand. I witnessed another 4x4 vehicle get stuck in the early morning before getting off this God forsaken beach. This beach should be renamed Twenty Mile Quick Sand Beach. Please do NOT make the same mistake I made. Happy Camping!
