Our campground #12 was literally on a hill .There was no way to get good sleep in a stable position without rolling down . Apart from that they have concrete deck with bench and table as well as fire pit for bone fire. There is no water at all . We got 4 gallons for 2 nights .Best part was an open meadow ideal for star gazing at night .
This is a great campground. The campsites were large and open, many are close to a creek, a major plus if you have kids.
All the campsites have a picnic table and fire pit.
We were easily able to fit our 12 person tent.
It's in walking distance to the trailheads.
Bathrooms are pit toilets
Check the water, sometimes there isn't drinkable water at the campsite.
You definitely need to plan ahead to reserve a campsite. If you just show up there won't be anything for you.
The park is a classic gem for the public and the National Park Service. The surrounding views are stunning. The campground was clean, well taken care of and the host was super pleasant and helpful.
