Positives - flushable bathrooms, showers, running water, fire circle, picnic table, beautiful view of moon and stars.

Negatives - it isn’t cheap at $25 a night plus $5 for out of state. I am not sure why out of state people get charged more, I think that is lame. Well apparently we only paid $25, so we were woken up before 9am by a park ranger asking for the $5. I couldn’t believe it. So we are paying $30 to be woken up around 8:30am so the ranger can collect his $5? I thought it was truly pathetic. He woke up some other people that put in too much money. He said this happens all the time. Here is a thought - put up clearer signage to eliminate confusion. Or an even crazier thought - charge one flat rate instead of different fees based on each person. It seems like a very inefficient and irritating way to run things. It was not a life or death situation, we did not need to be woken up at 8:30am. It is my last day of vacation and I wanted one more hour of sleep and I am not happy. Only stay here if you enjoy being woken up by a loud knocking sound on your van at 8:30am. And if any rangers see this - please learn to respect peoples sleep and come at a more reasonable time. And stop waking people up if it’s not an emergency. It is rude, upsetting, and completely unnecessary.

Very nice place, clean bathrooms, showers have hot water. Costs $ 15 per night, you get a nice and clean camping area. A few dozen yards from our camp was a calm, clear lake.

South Fork State Recreation Area , east campground you were lavely.

See you until the next review .
