I went to Touch of Nature Dec. 9, 2016 with a few friends from class. It was a quick drive there. There was a lot of scenery, even though most of the leaves on the trees have either fallen off or were about to fall. It was a little cold but we walked around and hung out. There was a hunt going on that day so we didn't venture off the road. One of our friends brought his dog and the dog clearly had a blast. It was a cool experience, especially because we all arrived there a little before sunset. There were some terrific views.
My husband and I had our wedding here a few weekends ago and couldn't have had a better day. :) We had our ceremony at the outdoor amphitheater and reception at Freeberg Hall. The staff were all wonderful! We both highly recommend Touch of Nature for anyone wanting to make their wedding ( or other event) special.
Touch of Nature is a great family friendly place to explore the woods from many trails, paddle on Little Grassy Lake, or host an event. There is a lodge, many cabins and two dining halls. The staff is friendly and happy to assist anyone in booking an event. They offer interpretive programs and guided hikes/paddles.
EXCELLENT, fully accessible venue, rustic, beautiful, envisioned by a generation that understood the importance of community, nature, well being and accessibility.
From a wedding to corporate to boy scouts to spiritual retreat can be accommodated.
Rustic, unpretentious, scenic, huge dinning hall, great staff.
