Coming from the north (on SR-255 S): Depart SR-255 South. Take ramp right for I-270 West toward Kansas City. At exit 4, take ramp right for SR-203 toward Granite City. Turn right onto Old Alton Rd. Turn right onto W Chain of Rocks Rd. Arrive at MGM Lakeside Campground. Coming from the south (on I-255 N): Depart I-255 North. At exit 30, take ramp right for I-270 West toward Kansas City. Kind owner. He waited up til past midnight for us to arrive(long drive). Spacious spots, plenty of room to park next to your RV. Lots of grass and trees which is perfect for any dog owner. Beautiful lake, full of life(including ducks!). Plenty of shade in certain spots.
Such a beautiful lake at sunset. Fishing os wonderful...very cheap if you are not staying free if you stay.
I am happy here. It's nice and peaceful and the owner is really nice. He worked with me on getting in here as I had problems getting my fifth wheel moved. He found me a mover and I'm very grateful.
