This campground is a short distance from I-80 but well worth the ride. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Did not use the restroom so I can't comment on them. We walked the grounds and were surprised at how huge this place is. The long term sites out back are spaced like house lots with beautiful trees and plenty of space. In our 15 years of traveling this country, I must say that this is one of the nicest reasonably priced campgrounds we've been to. If you stop here on a weekend, be sure to visit the Psycho Silo Saloon.
Wonderful place. Owners are very friendly and informative about the area. Shared places to see, things to do, and where to eat. Cute little store at main entrance. We stayed 4 days and kayaked on the Hennepin Canal (ate lunch under a tree on the canal) that the property has access to, toured the covered bridges in the area, and walked the local shops in town.
This Campground is a hidden gem! It's so quiet & secluded with lots of trees. There is plenty of space per campsite too. The interactive map on their website is excellent! You can easily see which spots are open & you can pay from it too! The dog park is a spacious area that is fenced in. It has a nice padded bench to sit on. It also has new Tennis balls to play fetch with your dog to wear it out 😁 We will definitely stay here in the future! The price for full hookups was very good too!
This place was about 20 minutes from the job site I was working at. Joan was super friendly and great to work with. They have a few over the winter spots they keep open for people like me. The bike trail along the canal was nice to go ride on when I want working. It's nice and dark here with no annoying street lights, but I recommend trying to get in during daylight because of this. Gps brought me right to it and it was easy to navigate. I will use them again when I'm back in a couple months!
