For those who like the beautiful sights and sounds of the great outdoors, but prefer the amenities of home, both Lincoln Trail State Park Campgrounds offer electricity, showers, tables, fireblocks, playground equipment, water, toilet facilities and a sanitary dumping station. For those who wish to be attuned to nature without the distractions of modern conveniences, Lakeside Campground also includes a Class C camping area for tents. The shower buildings are closed by November 1 (may be earlier if bad weather) and reopen May 1 (may be earlier, weather depending).
Great place to camp and restaurants is very good and great views
I love coming to this park. Every time I'm here there is hardly anyone else there so it makes it very quiet and serene !!!! They have a restaurant there which i haven't been to yet but hear that it's very nice. They have two boat docks with several different types of boat rentals at descent prices. I've stayed twice in the camp grounds tent camping and the hosts were very pleasant. It's a great place to get away for the afternoon or take the family camping !!!
Great campground and park. Most sites have electricity and are well maintained. Ensure a spot by reserving no later than Tuesday each week on the IDNR website. I have been camping here over the last 40 years and will continue to do so.
Really nice camping, with some road and machinery noise (but distant) great hosts, good free showers and seemingly good fishing. Stop in and stay but don’t tell everyone. Nearby Marshall, IL interestingly weird and very likable.
