Beall Woods State Park is located in Wabash County, 6 miles south of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, on Route 1 near Keensburg.
This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Illinois. Very spacious, quiet, peaceful, and restful. Water is available, as well as a dump station for RVs, but be aware that there are no electrical hookups. Super friendly staff in an idyllic setting. Pit toilets only.
Just hiked the White Oak trail. Loved the view of the creek merging into the river.
Park is large and clean. They keep it well maintained. There are picnic tables and grills throughout the park. Two large playgrounds with nice equipment. There are large pavilions with multiple picnic tables near each playground. The lake is stocked and fishing is good. The moss is cleaned out and fishing is easy from the bank. I caught 5 bluegill in less than an hour.
This is a great place to camp, fish, picnic, or just spend the day with the family and friends
Very nice state park! Plenty of trails & camping site hook-ups. Shelter houses, boat ramp, amphitheater, and even an interpretive visitor's center.
