My only complaint is the noisey utv n atv driving all hours of the night n day! So much noise pollution! Wish they were outlawed. Golf carts are fine but those noisy atv n utv are super annoying!! Otherwise love this campground!

This is a small Campground, but boy is it one of the most premiere out of the way spots to see American Bald Eagles-- a Birder's delight, there's a LOT of nests right around this area and dotting both directions along the Mississippi River. I also love it because it's close to family.

Pros:

- Nice management and Parks Dept. upkeep.

- Some renovation/ refurbishment to improve the stability of the Campsite.

- Several Concrete pads with Electric and Water hookups.

- Several Tent/ pitch sites.

- Playground for Children and Park bench/ tables.

- A small restroom and Shower facility.

- Lots of natural views (especially the Eagles).

- Swimming and Boating access right on the River.

- Excellent Fishing, lots of Catfish.

- Easy access to downtown Keithsburg and neighboring towns, only a 20 to 25 minute drive to Aledo, and about 35 to 45 minute drive to Burlington.

- Located in a Historic Town.

Cons:

- Small Campground so space is limited.

- Some noise from local use of Sporting/ off road vehicles and boats.

- These grounds are sandy and in a Flood zone, so even with the great improvements one does have to be cognizant of risks during very rainy periods. Follow all evacuation orders if announced.

- BE CAREFUL when swimming in the Mississippi River! It is an extremely strong current with many random undertows, stay within the designated area and watch children at all times when in the water.

Great rv park, full hook ups, nice people, right on the banks of the Mississippi river, and super reasonable, $25/night! Hard to believe you can still find an occasional diamond in the rough like this! Highly recommend!

I came here for the first time yesterday Sat. July 8th to stay thru Tues July 11th early am. You don't have to check out till 4 pm and this place is awesome. ❤️ Beautiful. I originally was going to camp at the $8.00 night tent sight but it was crowded so I chose on the riverfront / beach for $25.00 a night. Camp hosts are very very sweet and everyone is friendly. I literally go to sleep looking at stars from in my tent leave my screens unzipped for an awesome breeze and today from 4 till the rest of the night I pretty much have my own private beach. Noone is right next to me for 5 campsites, except for behind me but noone is on the beach. This place is really pretty. Ocean vibes on a river. However when the boats come to dock or leave out they leave waves that splash n if you close your eyes juss for a few seconds you can imagine you are at the ocean. 😊Pet friendly on leashes of course and a lil playground for the kids too. Restrooms of course haven't checked out showers I clean up at my site and shower when I get home. I could live here. Literally till late fall in my tent. 🥰
