Thank you Chris for a wonderful stay. Everyone was very friendly, and other than trains in the distance was very peaceful and quiet. I heard the trains when I was outside, not inside my camper and was told this was a train community so I knew what I was getting into. Bath house - restroom needs some attention. Bugs were a little bad at sunset and lots were all grass. Also had an issue, with water hose. Initially worked fine, then about 3-4 days in lost all water pressure. Pulled hose from camper and inlet screen was completed covered with brown foreign substance. Removed and went to purchase filter from Walmart. By the time I returned, screen was about 75% covered again. After installing filter, never had problem again. Was there for about 1 month. When I left, I checked the inlet screen on filter and camper and had no substance - perhaps was in the water hose itself.

We were very happy with our stay. Great amenities, clean remodeled bathrooms/showers, small playground with swings. The private beach along the river was our favorite part. The owners couldn’t have been more lovely and kind.

Went tent camping again after a ten year break and found this spot. Chris was very nice and helpful, great to work with. This location was about an hour away from the Chicago suburbs so a perfect weekend getaway. Exactly what we were looking for! Bathrooms / showers were nice and clean. Electric, water, fire pit and picnic table at the site. We were lucky it wasn’t busy so we selected a quiet private spot in the back. I do worry if it was busier or a holiday weekend we would be closer to other campers and it wouldn’t have been as nice and private. Some of the spots did look close to each other if it was busier, but luckily that wasn’t the case for us. Overall a great place to camp, would recommend and will be back!

My husband and I took our camper for its Maiden voyage here and it was perfect! Everyone was so nice. The site was beautiful and accommodating to us newbies. Plenty of room to set up and be comfy. The fishing area and beach area are very nice and the walk to the river is beautiful and peaceful. Bathrooms were very clean and everything is well taken care of. We're already talking about going back before the season is over.

Alexander RV campgrounds are the best in camping. Whether you are there for a day, a weekend, six months, or a year, this is the only place to go.

The size makes this place unique. It’s been in the family for generations, Riverside fishing, fantastic showers, firewood, and phenomenal oak trees. Open Skies to watch the stars. Wild flocks of birds to enliven the evenings. I can’t say enough good things about camping at Alexander.

Chris Kwak and their family are top-notch, attentive, productive, inventive, and caring.

For contractors, there is no better way to handle a long job then staying at the Alexander RV camp spot. Bring a tent, bring a truck, get a camper, to keep your crew while you’re working on a big project.

This place is respectful of your nights, everyone is helpful.
