I want to start and say the woman who checked me in and helped me was amazing as well as all the other staff. This review is solely about the cabin we stayed in. To say this is disgusting is an understatement. Right when you walk in you are hit with a moldy mildew smell. Everything and I mean everything was sticky from the floor to the table to the door. Luckily we had all our own utensils to use since the ones provide were greasy. Above the stove top is a large quantity of black duck tape covering god only knows what so it doesn’t fall into your food if trying to cook. The small counter top had ants marching around that I couldn’t seem to stop or find where they were coming from. I’m sure we will get sick from staying here since the ac vents in the floor have mold, debris, and a large amount of grease. I spilled something and got a paper towel to clean it up and after one wipe it was completely black. The sofa is a stained riddled ripped thing that they threw a gross twin bed protector over. I don’t believe these cabins are being cleaned in the least since we had trash under our bed from the previous renter.

We camped at site 30 over the last 4 days and it was great. The sites are concrete, level and full hookup. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was a little cool so we didn't get a chance to use the pool but I look forward to doing so in the future. We live in central Fl so we plan to frequent Tutusvilles KOA in the future. A couple recommendations that I do have is they need to have more outdoor activities. If I owned the park, I would put a couple pool tables and ping pong tables in the large recreation room and some additional outdoor activities even though the central Fl location offers many activities outside the park. Movie night might be nice for the tent campers that don't have TV access.

If this was our first ever experience to a KOA campground, we would never visit another. We visited from out of state and, due to distance, didn't bring our camper, but opted to stay in a cabin.

Office staff:

Friendly. We had one interaction, which was at check-in. There is nothing negative about our interaction.

Cabin:

The dining table and chairs were grossly sticky. Anything you put on the table stuck to it. Paper, napkins, all left marks. Same with the chairs. The coffee maker was broke, and we had to fix it, which is frustrating at 6 in the morning when you just want a hot cup of coffee. The metal heating element was rusted over. The shower had minimal pressure, the hot water wasn't hot, and it lasted for only about 10 minutes. When you have three people that need to wash up, that's not enough time. The ladder for the bunk bed was metal. Anytime our children bumped it during the night, it made a bone rattling clank sound, which would wake everyone up. The mattress in the bedroom was nice and comfortable. Check-in staff offered us a space heater fan because they said the cabin doesn't get warm. When we entered the cabin, it was on the cooling feature. We switched it to heat and about melted ourselves out. The furnace does, in fact, work and can successfully heat the cabin. Bummed that the cabin spaces are so tight that there isn't room for a fire pit.

Grounds:

Small, extremely tight, random piles of junk, dog park was extremely small. The playground area is small. This is the first ever KOA we've been to that didn't have a jump pad.

Titusville / Canaveral KOA

I read the reviews and was a bit hesitant about coming here. But after staying a few days (11-16 Feb 2024, here are my honest thoughts.

31 foot Class C with back and side slide (no towed vehicle).

FRONT OFFICE -

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ outstanding!! Tara took my reservation and Lilly worked the front when I arrived. She even called an hour prior to closing to make sure I was still going to make it. Already identified a slot for me and had an employee named DJ ready to escort me back to my spot. DJ ground guided me in (at night) and probably saved my marriage.

ROADS IN THE PARK

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The road is narrow for an RV park with some big trees in some key spots (drive slow and you will be fine). Same for parking…backing up had me inches from the golf cart across the street.

PARKING SLOTS

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All paved and level. I had slot 111, and with my luck, it dipped in the middle with some weakened settled concrete. It took a couple boards on the right side to get me close to level and then some magic with the levels. Some slots are back in, some are pull through. Hook ups conveniently located 20/30/50 amp, cable, water, sewer.

WIFI

⭐️

Terrible about sums it up. Definitely need to upgrade the system and install repeaters throughout the park. My wife works from the RV…the lack of connectivity was unsettling.

FACILITIES - Bath house

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall dated and could use some upgrading. Functional for the most part, 1 toilet out of order (used 1 of the other 3). Ashley was cleaning and doing the best she could with what she had (like I said…needs some updating).

LAUNDRY

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

New washers and dryers for $2.50 wash 30 min and $2.00 dry 36 min. Everything clean and dry. Large table to fold clothes. Looks like they are in the process of putting in a new floor (so that is good…I would have done the bathrooms first).

CAMP STORE

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Has a small assortment of items. Love’s truck stop and gas station across the street and Dollar General next door…everything there if it is not at the store (especially perishable items). Hours had them opening at 1030, but Debbie saw me looking at the window and said she would open up early for me. Pleasant surprise!!

EMPLOYEES

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (extra star)

Lilly, DJ, Ashley, Debbie, Tristan, Tony, and Melissa are all fantastic employees. If you are a competitor in the Titusville/Canaveral area looking for help, swing in and make them an offer. I guarantee you they don’t make enough at this location. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
