About Campground

Located between Orlando and Daytona, our Central Florida RV Park is surrounded by state-owned preserve land, but is still only 5 miles from Sanford, FL. The campground has a total of 817 sites, 569 of which offer full hookups, and there are plenty of over-sized RV sites to accommodate big rigs and small RVs alike.

Wekiva Falls RV Resort and campground also offers tent camping at our Orlando-area campground. Some sites are equipped with picnic tables and grills, while others have fire pits, and some are located far back in the woods.

Wekiva Falls is a premiere RV Resort and campground destination ideally located in beautiful Sorrento, Florida between Daytona Beach and Orlando. Before Walt Disney came to the area in the 1970’s, Orlando was a sleepy town with an economy based on citrus and cattle. Since then, Orlando has blossomed into one of our nations most sought-after destinations. That’s why the founders decided to build Wekiva Falls right up to the road, in Sorrento, Florida. The founders wanted to be close enough to all the attractions and local shops, without being disturbed by the noise, or frustrated by the stop and go traffic. Sorrento, Florida is truly one of the last peaceful reserves in Central Florida. With its near-perfect mild temperatures that last all year-round. Built on over 100 acres, you’ll find the beauty of the great outdoors stretches in every direction, as far as the eye can see. At Wekiva Falls a beautiful beach awaits, winding trails call your name, and a variety of nearby wildlife dot the picture-perfect landscape.

wekiva falls is a great place to launch and take the dogs down the river on a Sunday afternoon . Folks there are friendly enough but don't speed through there the golf cart security is a very serious man when it comes to golf cart justice he thinks he got my frond on radar on the cart . Anyhow the river is beautiful and the dogs loved it

We love it here! We visit every year. During the winter months the lagoon is not busy and it’s fabulous! The staff is so unbelievably nice and professional.

The spots where we like over by the pool are sandy so you sink in, we wished we brought some wood to put our stands on. Also be sure to bring a large outdoor mat.

There is a mineral smell (boiled egg) but that is the water and it’s natural, just be prepared for it.

I do wish they would add fans in the laundry room so you don’t melt while doing laundry.

I wish 5 stars because the place it’s beautiful, bathrooms clean, great service and support by all employees, but unfortunately the camping was short in fun, how? Camping site should have had the ring/grill for the BBQ and fire pit at night, kids love helping with the grill, smell to wood and cooking the s’mores.

There are several mini grills around the lake but that’s far to move everything from the camping site to there, you can’t park there so you need to carry out food, wood, coolers, and once you are done with the grill needs to go back to the car and drive back to the camping, everyone missed the BBQ process, we came back home with the marshmallows unpacked and kids complaining about, , not fun at all!!!!

I have been traveling to many campings parks and this is the first time our camping site were missing the ring/grill.

String recommendations: please please please a ring with a grill in each site, BBQ and fire pit is #1 entertaining and activity when you are camping.

Very nice RV Resort. I’m pretty impressed with how well maintained it is, and how orderly the community is. Even with as big of a park as it is, and the number of people out and about, it is fairly quiet.

We have a Doberman, and typically have trouble finding parks. This park is very dog friendly and don’t have breed restrictions. More of a case by case to if the show aggression.

There is a lot of water with the river and several small pond areas. Lots of wildlife and alligators. Me and wife live the walks to see what we may see.
