If this was our first ever experience to a KOA campground, we would never visit another. We visited from out of state and, due to distance, didn't bring our camper, but opted to stay in a cabin.

Office staff:

Friendly. We had one interaction, which was at check-in. There is nothing negative about our interaction.

Cabin:

The dining table and chairs were grossly sticky. Anything you put on the table stuck to it. Paper, napkins, all left marks. Same with the chairs. The coffee maker was broke, and we had to fix it, which is frustrating at 6 in the morning when you just want a hot cup of coffee. The metal heating element was rusted over. The shower had minimal pressure, the hot water wasn't hot, and it lasted for only about 10 minutes. When you have three people that need to wash up, that's not enough time. The ladder for the bunk bed was metal. Anytime our children bumped it during the night, it made a bone rattling clank sound, which would wake everyone up. The mattress in the bedroom was nice and comfortable. Check-in staff offered us a space heater fan because they said the cabin doesn't get warm. When we entered the cabin, it was on the cooling feature. We switched it to heat and about melted ourselves out. The furnace does, in fact, work and can successfully heat the cabin. Bummed that the cabin spaces are so tight that there isn't room for a fire pit.

Grounds:

Small, extremely tight, random piles of junk, dog park was extremely small. The playground area is small. This is the first ever KOA we've been to that didn't have a jump pad.
