Nice little place on the river. Staff was friendly. Would go for a longer stay. The cabin was clean. They had some SUP boards kayaks and boats and other things to keep kiddos busy. Also pet friendly.

Nope. WAY overpriced.

Lovely location, the Front Desk person was really great but the cabins are super dirty. we bleached and cleaned as soon as we got in and continued to do so 2x daily. Left it much cleaner than when we came in. Also, I understand wanting to keep the cabins rustic but whoa! Could use help in that way too.

We visited the Elms with a big group for an Adirondack weekend among friends. Chandler and his staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating, and the location could not have been more perfect to introduce some old friends to the beauty of the Adirondacks while still having access to some of the comforts of home (convenience and grocery stores within walking distance and Saratoga and Lake George less than 30 minutes away). Swimming in the Hudson was a joy, and floating down the river with the River Ridin’ team which launches from the Elms was a highlight of the weekend. Thank you to Chandler for welcoming us to your wonderful property.

A fantastic location on the lake, with a back deck, fire pit, a little beach, kayaks, other water stuff. Cabins were also comfortably separated from other cabins, giving a sense of space and privacy. Front desk friendly and helpful.

The cabins themselves were beyond rustic–duct tape repair on the toilet bowl, shower curtain hanging by flimsy tension rod, and little furniture for clothes (Just a week, so I mainly worked out of my bag), inadequate/awkward AC (one stand-alone unit in the living room which was meant to do the whole two-bedroom, kitchen/living room cabin).

Since it had a kitchen, we had expected things like salt and pepper, some spices, coffee filters, and maybe some other sundries that people might leave behind for the next group. This had none, only pots, pans, and dinnerware.

Overall, a convenient, cozy location however the price seemed a bit high for it.

My husband, myself, and our dog, Luna spent 5 days at Elms Cottages this past week in early September 2023. We all had a great time, but I think Luna had the most incredible time of all! She was free to roam the lakeside area in front of our cabin, chase the ducks and the squirrels, get her feet wet in the cool, clean water of the lake, and just be a dog!!! My husband and I enjoyed the solitude of the place, as I think there was only one other guest at the time. The accommodations were good enough for us, with a tv, 2 bedrooms so we could put all our stuff in one, and sleep in the other. The bed was comfy, the a/c worked, and the water pressure was good. We did spend extra on housekeeping for the 5 days, but it was well worth it! Clean towels, beds made, trash taken, and floors swept! The two women who did it, Lorraine and Jessica couldn’t be any nicer! The low key atmosphere really contributed to our enjoyment. Free water toys were ample, canoes, kayaks, row boats, water bikes. Most likely will be back next year!
