Lovely rooms and cottages with a gorgeous view of Lake George on the property. Swimming area is on par for a lakefront property, so if you're dreaming of a sandy beach, you might be a little disappointed. But, if you're looking to actually get into the water and cool off, they've got stairs leading down to the lake, a roped in swimming area, and a floating dock to swim to. Overall, very nice. Lots and lots of places to sit, read, and take in an amazing view.
It's been almost 40 years since I first stayed at the Bonnie View. Needless to say, this place is not only a major part of my family vacation each summer, but it has been passed down with a new generation of now my children getting to enjoy the best in Bolton! The view is outstanding and Larry makes this place run like a top! He goes above and beyond to help in anyway he can. His grounds are well maintained. We are treated like family everytime we come and we do show up yearly! You will enjoy a picturesque view of the lake from here! If I had to describe heaven on earth, you can get a view of it from here! Thank you for always being accommodating. -Anthony and Michelle-
This is our one and only place we come to stay every year for over 10 years in a row. Larry is a wonderful host he has beautiful cottages and the place is kept so clean. We stay in the deck view cottage with a beautiful view of the lake. You can dock a boat there, the kids can play on the sand area and swim in the lake, fishing is also nice. Our kids also like to swim in the pool and play on the slides. I highly recommend staying here if you visit lake george.
Best bang for your buck! About 10 minutes away from the Village of Lake George and 2 minutes from the Village of Bolton Landing. I have found that this place has the most reasonable prices for what you get (we stay in a knotty pine cottage). I love how the grounds are kept (they left a lot of trees around the property, where as with some places they cut a lot of them down). Great owners and friendly staff. Family friendly as well (this particular place gets families, but not as much as other places). I've stayed here 2 or 3 times (although I hadn't been up to Lake George in 4 years before this year...... I have stayed at 2 other places on Lake George....Capri and the Juliana - 7 times at Capri and once at the Juliana). Can't wait to come back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation recently at the Bonnie View. Excellent location on Lake George with a beautiful view of the lake from most areas around the resort. Our Knotty Pine Cottage was one of the cleanest accommodations we have ever stayed in and had the right amenities (refrigerator, stove top, utensils) for our stay. We were aware ahead of time of items that weren't provided so that we brought a coffee pot. More importantly we were very impressed with Larry and Dylan and had genuinely nice they are and how they treat their guests! We hope to return next summer.
