The park is located on the northeast end of Grindstone Island, facing Eel Bay and the Canadian Channel and can only be accessed by water. The best access is from Wellesley Island, just over the Thousand Islands Bridge, or from Grass Point State Park on Rte 12, 1 mile south of the Thousand Islands Bridge. 315-686-3048
Jayne is always awesome. The park is clean and has great trails and a swimming area. Brad knows the water and is a great resource.
Some cabins, wooded sotes, sites next to river. Clean bathroom with 2 stalls and shower. Shower type is push then you get a few seconds of water so can be chilly without running water. Place behind bathroom for trash n recycling. Good size docks. Friendly staff. Can buy ice and firewood. Sites a bit close together but still nice.
Walk/bike about 3miles/50 minutes on grassy and sometimes muddy trail to the Grindstone island winery . $10 tasting of 4 wines. $20 per bottle to buy for home. $2 kid friendly rootbeer slushies. Corn hole, giant jenga and connect 4 and picnic tables overlooking grape fields.
Nice park, docks could use some work, some bugs, beautiful swan family, nice staff.
So much fun for no money. Worth taking a picnic and a bathing suit here. Only accessible by boat so that's s must.
